No sugar, no problem

This is the first time in my memory that I did not eat Easter candy. I didn't miss it at all. I am still hovering at 168, 169, 170. I have been doing some walking in my woods and am looking forward to making a path that I can keep cleared enough for walking.

It looks like a nice gentle slope and when it is cleared of vines, stickers and such, going down to the creek is pretty easy...

It's getting back up the hill from the creek that always looks daunting. I keep my trusty red broom handle to use as a walking stick, and I haven't fallen yet.

It just doesn't look that far when you start out, but once you get down to the bottom...yep, you have to trudge on back up.

I figure if I do this every day that it's not raining, I'll get in great shape. That's my plan for now.

Hope everyone had a great weekend. Take care and enjoy the rest of it.

Hi, found your blog looking for others interested in weight loss and just wanted to say congrats on the 10 pound loss and staying away form the Easter candy...and I love you hair!! I am trying to break the coloring habit, and when I see hair as beautiful as yours, I feel very inspired.

Wow, I didn't fair so well staying away from the chocolate. You did great! A few times up and down that hill should do the trick.
Blessings

Wow-it is a ways back UP. With the resistance it will be good strength training for your bones. Be careful out there!! Isn't it nice to get outside?

Sounds like a good plan! Keep that walking stick with you. That slope looks fairly steep. I'm trying to get myself out into the woods to do some hiking, but I haven't made it yet. Congrats on no Easter candy! Very hard to do, I know. You're going to inspire me to get walking!!

I have to admit I did have a couple of jelly beans but no chocolate or anything like that. I have done quite well on limiting my sugar and even better on flour products. BUT-I am stuck again. It seems like I can lose for a while and then nothing. I have starting walking and hopefully that will help.

Good job! We limited our Easter sweets to just a few really, really good pieces of high quality chocolate. Quality over quantity. No one missed jelly beans or all the other super sweet things we avoid.

You have a wonderful place to walk! I really like what you're doing in your woods!
