It's too easy to work...but?

Just one quick post, I have been doing the No Flour, No Sugar program for one week and I am back down to 172 pounds. This is my lowest since October. All I have done is avoid anything that has any type of sugar (you regular dieters know all the culprits) and anything that has flour or any type of flour ingredient in it. I have been watching portion size also. The premise is that, as we know, sugar has no nutritional value and is therefore, empty calories. Well it seems that refined flour of any kind (wheat, rice flour, soy flour, oat flour...) is the same on the G.I. (glycemic index) as table sugar. That's a good enough reason for me.

Have a great Sunday, be thankful and grateful and tell you family you love them.

Take care.

You are so so so so right and have offered me the right amount of inspiration I needed. In 2001 I dropped off 3 stone, and back then I knew nothing about nutrition nor yoga. The main thing I did was to give up sugar and anything that had it in it. I do remember that I also gave up fizzy drinks, tea, coffee and bread. I drank loads of water instead of the tea, and whenever I fancied bread had ryvita, and whenever I fancied crisps had nuts. I need to get back to that mindset again. Bye for now, and thanks for a post that is really relevant to me and my beliefs. xx

I do Clean Eating. If you go to my profile and click on the blogs I follow you will see one for Clean Eating. We don't eat any white flour. Since Dec 14th both my husband and I are down 10 pounds or better!!! Tosca Reno has numerous web-sites and books to read. Her cook book the Eat Clean Diet Cookbook is AWESOME!!!

Thank you for the nice comments you leave on my blog. You make my day! I did the no sugar, no white flour years ago and did good on it and felt better than I had for a long time. Maybe it's time I tried that again.
Thanks, Susan.
